Victorian Trunk!

I purchased the contents of a Victorian Trunk a few weeks ago. Let me tell you, my heart did some pitter pattering when I started pulling the contents out. I have never had the opportunity to handle so many Victorian garments in one day before.

Circa 1840 Silk Day Dress

There are quite a few dresses, chemises, shoes, a hat, linens that I have no idea what they are for and other odds and ends.

Circa 1860 Cotton Calico Day Dress

Of course, all the dresses are quite small. The largest waist measurement being 24". Unfortunately, there were no corsets in said trunk! I was certainly hoping there would at least be one in there.

Circa 1860 Plaid Day Dress

All the dresses that I have listed so far have sold except the 1870 Promenade dress shown below, and honestly it's my favorite! Get it on Etsy.

Possibly the rarest piece in the trunk were these c. 1840 Embroidered Gaiter Boots.

Well, that's all for now! Hopefully, I will get some more pics of the remaining beauties done today and have another blog post about them.

Vintage Singer 15-125

Available on Etsy!
I just love vintage Mid Century Sewing Machines! Especially Singer's. I came across this machine last week and I am in love!

The Mint Green and angular design really drawn me to this machine. And  as if all that were not good enough. Hello, it's basically a 15-91 with a makeover!

There is a potted motor back there! It's so smooooooth.

There is a little wear on the front of the bed, but overall  this machine is nice and clean.

It even came in a great French Provencal Table! (similar to the Queen Anne Table)

Singer 421G Sewing Machine

First of all, let me say how excited I am about finding this machine! This is one of the rare German Singer machines that has eluded me for years!

It not only has a fantastic bed extension and storage space in the bed.... It also has a free arm!

It also came in a sweet Danish Modern (German Modern?) sewing cabinet, like I have never seen before!

It even came with most of the attachments and the manual!

Vintage Pink Atlas Sewing Machine

Today while I was watching some Crime TV and knitting my mom called me and told me that there were 3 sewing machines at a yard sale a block from my house. How did I not know this already? It was already 2pm, so I figured they were all junk.

I was quite shocked to find this Atlas in EXCELLENT condition. For some reason most of the pink Atlas machines are all beat up or something is wrong with them, but this one is PERFECT!

It sews like a dream! AND the case is even in great shape, and has the original attachment box!

This is an awesome find!

Victorian Friendship Quilt

The other day I was out hitting the local Yard Sales, and I found this gorgeous1870s or so Friendship Quilt from N.Y. state.  (purchase on etsy)

This entire quilt is hand pieced and hand stitched!

Nearly all of the blocks are signed in ink with the quilters name and home town. A few are embroidered on.

A few of the blocks have some shattering.

But most of the quilt is in great condition.

When I found this gorgeous quilt I almost died! It's so gorgeous!

The pattern used is a variation of Log Cabin called Courthouse Steps from what I understand.

Singer 201-2, Queen Anne Sewing Table and Stool

Price: $525, free local pickup, will ship

This is a stunning and rare Singer 201-2 sewing machine. This machine is very smooth and strong. It has a gear driven motor so there are no slips when sewing through thick fabric.

This 201-2 is a rare blackside which means it was produced during the war years when the needle plate, side plate etc. were not chromed, but dipped in black finish instead.

The serial number on this machine is AF892303 which dates the machine to 1941.

I purchased this machine in 2006 from an elderly lady who purchased the machine new and maintained it well. This machine has been used by me since then and has been well maintained.

Included with the head of this machine is, the original Queen Anne Table and sewing stool. All standard attachments come with this machine in their original green Singer box.

I recovered the stool, but the original fabric is underneath. The new fabric can be removed with a staple puller.

FREE LOCAL PICKUP AVAILABLE!

If shipped, this will come in 3 boxes: Machine and attachments , table, and stool. The table and stool will be DISASSEMBLED, it is not difficult to put these back together (basically the legs are unscrewed).

Just need a Singer Queen Anne Stool? I have one here for $110.
